Lancaster Hos
pice Center
Although most people prefer to stay at home, patients may need another level of care to manage pain or other symptoms. Care is available for patients and their families in our Essa Flory Hospice Center in Lancaster and the Mount Joy Hospice Center. Inpatient care is generally short-term and patients often return home when symptoms are managed.
The Essa Flory Hospice Center is designed to be a "home away from home," with bright rooms, shelves for keepsakes and photos from home and plenty of space for family and friends to gather. The Hospice Center is open 24 hours a day for visitors, and features living rooms and fully equipped kitchens so patients and their families can spend as much time together as possible.

The Hospice Center is like no other caregiving facility. It is a place where people can quietly gather. A meditation room offers peace and serenity for those looking for solitude. The soothing sound of falling water from the shell fountain can be heard as one enjoys the rose garden through beautiful stained glass windows in the corridor. Garden areas and private patient patios offer cooling shade in the summer.
"When we visited the first time we saw how nice and attentive the staff was to the patients and cared for their every need; we saw how wonderful and home-like Hospice of Lancaster County was." Helen B. Grandinetti,
Reinholds, Pa.
