The PATHways Center for Grief & Loss is a free resource to the entire community, regardless of whether your loved one
is or was a hospice patient. Our mission is to support and encourage the inherent ability to heal and discern new paths on one's journey through grief. Professionally trained PATHways Center counselors are committed to:
- Providing support to individuals of all ages
- Educating others about common grief responses
- Facilitating opportunities to interact with others who have had similar experiences
- Teaching effective coping skills
- Helping individuals realize the choices that they have on their journey through grief
We didn't use hospice services. Can I still receive bereavement support?
Yes, the PATHways Center is a community resource available to anyone coping with a serious illness or loss through death. We welcome the opportunity to help you and your family through a difficult time.
What types of services are offered by the PATHways Center?
Hospice of Lancaster County's PATHways Center is here to help meet the individual needs of you and your family. From support groups to resources, counseling, camps and more, we welcome the opportunity to support you.
Does the PATHways Center provide training to groups on grief and loss issues?
The PATHways Center for Grief & Loss often is contacted by area businesses, agencies, schools and health care organizations to provide seminars and programs on grief and loss. Length, topics and cost vary based on the specific request, with each program tailored to a group's needs.
What about in times of crisis?
Our staff has additional training in crisis and sudden loss to provide support and guidance following a traumatic event.
Can anyone refer individuals to the PATHways Center for bereavement support?
A professional referral is not required. Anyone coping with serious illness or loss of a loved one
may contact the PATHways Center by calling (717) 391-2413 or (717) 733-0699.

Are there fees for any of the services offered by the PATHways Center?
The generous support of the community allows Hospice of Lancaster County to offer most grief and bereavement programs and services at no cost to the participant. There is a nominal registration fee for camps and retreats. Specific workshops, seminars and some courses have a separate fee schedule.
