Women's Giving Circle
In 2004, 24 women embarked together on a philanthropic journey to create the Women's Giving Circle for Hospice of Lancaster County. Since then, the Circle, which has doubled in size, has raised more than $140,500 for Hospice. This endeavor provides interested women with the unique opportunity to pool their funds and effectively invest in projects that will build and strengthen hospice-related programs through the power of joint contributions.
Women of all ages belong to the Women's Giving Circle. They have funded or partially funded meaningful educational programs and unique services that enrich the lives of the entire Lancaster County community.
The Spring Education Luncheon is open to all women in the community, and each year features a program on women and philanthropy, or a program highlighting Hospice of Lancaster County programs and services.
Past projects include:
Educational Program for the Lancaster County Medical Community on Pediatric Palliative Medicine and Hospice Care- Caregivers Support/Educational Program
- Handbook for Hospice Families
- Children's Grief Conference
- Adult Grief Retreat
- Revised Teacher's Guide for the Grieving Student
- Expansion of Music Therapy Program
