Celebrate a life with a lasting tribute.
Hospice of Lancaster County's
Path of Remembrance

The Path of Remembrance, like our mission, is simple — to comfort those who need comfort more than anything else.

Hospice of Lancaster County's Path of Remembrance offers a special way for you to leave a lasting memory of your loved one. The Path wanders through the grounds of Hospice of Lancaster County's Mount Joy Hospice Center and PATHways Center for Grief & Loss among beautiful landscaping and plantings. The Path adds a lovely dimension to our peaceful surroundings and provides comfort to patients and families. Along the Path, stone pavers are placed in honor and in memory of loved ones.
Stone pavers can be ordered throughout the year.

New!
Hospice of Lancaster County is providing the opportunity to purchase replica pavers, which can be displayed in your home or garden. People who purchase replica pavers can pick them up following the Path of Remembrance Dedication Ceremony on May 20, 2012, at the Mount Joy Hospice Center. You may purchase a replica paver in honor or in memory of a loved one, in conjunction with placing a paver on the Path or as a single purchase. Path of Remembrance brick

For a donation of $125, please click here to place a paver on the Path of Remembrance for your loved one, or to purchase a replica paver. Pavers may be ordered year-round for installation each May.

  1. Instructions for completing your Path of Remembrance order:
Each paver has three lines of text. For the first line, please check one box—either "in memory of" or "in honor of". ("In memory of" if the person being remembered is deceased; "in honor of" if the person is living.)

  2. The second and third lines each have 15 character spaces available for your inscription. Write the person's name, one letter in each box. If the name is long, you may need to use both lines of boxes for the name.

  3. If the name fits in the second line, you may use the third line for an additional inscription such as "Loving Husband" or "Beloved Friend." Remember, the inscription is about the person being remembered, so it should not refer to the person(s) who has purchased the paver. No dates please.

  4. Please place punctuation such as commas or periods in the same block as a letter.

  5. Please leave spaces between names and words.

  6. All orders must be received by March 31 for May installation. For more information, or if you have any questions, please call Patricia Cochrane in the Development Office at (717) 391-2456.
