Hospice of Lancaster County is a team of professionals and volunteers specializing in the care and support of people and their families who are living with a life-limiting illness.
Hospice care is appropriate when the focus of care has shifted to comfort rather than cure, and is available to all residents of Lancaster County and many places in neighboring counties.
Community education is so important! Many people have heard the term "hospice care," but want to learn how Hospice of Lancaster County can help when a family member needs care.
One way your group can continue to be educated is to invite a Community Education Speaker to an upcoming meeting.
How do we schedule a speaker?
Simply click on the button at the bottom of this page and fill out the appropriate information. When we receive your request, we will contact you.
You may also contact Hospice directly via phone and ask to speak to a staff member in the Education Department.
How long is a typical presentation?
Usually about 20 to 30 minutes followed by time for questions and answers; however, a program can be tailored to fit your particular time frame.
How much advance notice is required?
It is helpful to know one month before your program; however, special arrangements may be able to be made.
Is there a fee involved?
Because of the amount of community support that Hospice of Lancaster County receives, we are able to offer Community Education at no charge. Should you wish to make a donation, your gift will support hospice care services for individuals with limited resources.
