30 years of caring

Our Mission

Hospice of Lancaster County is dedicated to providing care and comfort to help patients and families live better at end of life.

Our Vision

Hospice of Lancaster County is committed to excellence through the continual strengthening of home hospice care, inpatient hospice care and bereavement services, while advocating for comfort, support and timely access to services. We will also serve as medical, ethical, spiritual and educational leaders in matters related to end-of-life care.

Patients are accepted for hospice care without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, physical or mental disability, veteran status or financial status or resources.

Stories of Hospice

As Hospice of Lancaster County reflects on 30 years of providing comfort and care, we are reminded that stories from grateful friends and families have helped to define our organization.

"Without care from Hospice of Lancaster County I don't know how I would have managed those final months and weeks of (my wife's) life. The nurses, the social workers and the volunteers were wonderful to her. I could not have cared for her at home had it not been for that team support." ~ Dan Farmer, volunteer, Lancaster, Pa.

We thank the many, many families who sent us poignant stories of their family's experience at Hospice of Lancaster County. This commemorative page is designed for friends and family members to share their thoughts and memories of their loved one. If you would like us to include your Hospice of Lancaster County story on this page, please email us.
