What makes Hospice of Lancaster County
a Great Place to Work? OUR STAFF.

Hospice of Lancaster County is undoubtedly a great place to work because it gives clinicians the opportunity to do what they love: care for patients and families in need. The reason most people go into nursing is to make a tangible difference in the lives of others, and our staff truly does, at a time of crisis when families need a caring, calming presence.

While Hospice of Lancaster County supports the first free-standing Hospice Center in the state of Pennsylvania, 96 percent of our care is provided in the patient's home. Our team of nurses, physicians, social workers, counselors, chaplains and volunteers care for more than 430 patients and their families every day. Employees are trained on and equipped with laptop computers, making the most recent patient information centralized and easily accessible.

The difference between Hospice of Lancaster County and other healthcare providers is our staff. We care for our employees the same way that we care for our patients and families, going the extra mile, performing in a manner that makes people proud to work here, and happy to stay.

Becky Hertzog"It is through the support and encouragement of my teammates that I have gained the confidence to provide empathetic and knowledgeable care to patients and families during a difficult time in their lives. If you want a rewarding, satisfying and challenging experience, I recommend becoming a nurse with Hospice of Lancaster County." - Becky Hertzog, Clinical Educator, Hospice of Lancaster County employee since 2005
